RMAN and Oracle 9.2.0.5
When make a backup from archivlog from the oracle DB, the follow message find in the alert.log from oracle:
Mon May 01 22:48:48 2006
ARCH: Evaluating archive log 1 thread 1 sequence 9151
ARCH: Beginning to archive log 1 thread 1 sequence 9151
Creating archive destination LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1: 'D:\ORACLE\ARCHIVE\ABI\ARC09151.001'
Mon May 01 22:48:48 2006
ARC1: Evaluating archive log 1 thread 1 sequence 9151
ARC1: Unable to archive log 1 thread 1 sequence 9151
Log actively being archived by another process
Mon May 01 22:48:48 2006
ARCH: Completed archiving log 1 thread 1 sequence 9151
Now my question: is the Backup completed or failed ???
Which Logfile is "Log actively being archived by another"
Thanks for help

Re: RMAN and Oracle 9.2.0.5
Shalom maxime,
The backup failed. It should not be relied upon.
Archive logging is active on this database and the backups attempt to set a checkpoint(re resotre point) failed.
The archive log set needs to be fixed and the backup re-run.
Since you hae a D: drive, this also points to a problem of where you posted. This is Linux and you are lucky to get good help here.
