Solutionyou can get memory and cpu information from /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
$ grep -i physical /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
Sep 20 23:30:59 testbox vmunix: physical page size = 4096 bytes, logical page size = 4096 bytes
Sep 20 23:30:59 testbox vmunix: Physical: 16775168 Kbytes, lockable: 12605792 Kbytes, available: 14636948 Kbytes
$ grep -i ncpus /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
Sep 20 23:33:20 testbox /usr/sbin/nfsd[2925]: nfsd do_one mpctl succeeded: ncpus = 4.

Re: RP8400 check No. of CPU and Memory
to use cstm, you could try the following.
# echo "Map SelAll Information ; wait InfoLog Quit OK" | cstm > /tmp/devicelist
this will pipe the entire output to /tmp/devicelist. It will also show you memory dimm type and config in the server in a long list.
To select one by one. You could do interactively with cstm. Example, let assume your memory is device 30.
1) start cstm
# cstm
2) display all device
cstm > map
3) after view, maybe the memory is item 30. Select it.
cstm > sel dev 30
cstm > information ;wait
4) view it
cstm > infolog

Re: RP8400 check No. of CPU and Memory
It gets more confusing with some machines due to dual core cpu's showing up as multiple cpu's in top.
mstm
cstm
xstm
These are the tools part of the free online diagnostics package that should be used to check hardware integrity and get a count on memory chips and cpu's.

Re: RP8400 check No. of CPU and Memory
# echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog" | /usr/sbin/cstm
# echo "selclass qualifier cpu;info;wait;il"|/usr/sbin/cstm
# echo "sel dev 1;info;wait;il"|/usr/sbin/cstm
Hope this helps!
