Hi, I installed realvnc, when I try to run the vncserver I get a msg that it's missing a library...

libpthread.sl

I checked on the patches and I installed the POSIX patch but that didn't do anything.

hi,

which version of vnc r u using? also, have u ensure that :

# export PATH=$PATH:/usr/bin/X11
# export PATH=$PATH:/usr/dt/bin

by the way, what is options u use to start vncserver, i.e.

# vncserver -name < > -depth < >

have u also created the startup script?

I have x0vncserver, I searched for the libpthread.sl with the "find / -name libpthread.sl" and there was no file like that on my system.

PHCO_27434 I beleve there are some patches for that file. Also Vnc may be looking in the wrong spot so you could try setting up a soft link with ln -s. Good luck.

That's another problem I have with the box, I installed the quality pack it required, but it paused the installation because the kernel would not compile which is another message I will post next, I had to abort and after aborting it recorded it installed some patches but with warning, now I can't compile the kernel at all and/or can't install any additional patches. I am just going to install 11i from scratch next.
