Reboot after panic: , isr.ior

Hi,

One of HP Workstation,Model9000/785/C3600 is rebooting oftenly (once in 3 days).

/etc/shutdownlog shows the entries like below.
"
23:11 Thu Jul 17 2003. Reboot after panic: , isr.ior = 0'0.0'0
17:35 Tue Jul 22 2003. Reboot after panic: , isr.ior = 0'301ffffc.c0000000'1f2a740
"
I saw the display panel of WS as "FLT 800".
What could be the wrong with Workstation?

Your's valuable inputs are highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regds,
Rajesh

well this looks suspiciously like eihter a TOC (usually user induced) or a hardware failure.
It would show something else if it was a software failure, like Data Page Fault.
I recommend you log a hardware call with your Hardware support vendor, and get them to look at the PIM info etc.

Re: Reboot after panic: , isr.ior

What would be more useful is posting what the OS version is and what the message is when it actually panics.

What is the last patch you installed or action you took that could have caused this.

This stuff might help.

Rajesh,

The FLT 800 indicates a hardware error. You need to contact HP to further diagnose exactly what component is failing.

Hi Rajesh,

How are you man ...

You can just a give a try by removing and fixing the Memory modules and other pluggable parts in the system ... as u r in HP ISO ... I hope your service Rep will not mind you doing so ...

Hi,

Thanks for quick response.

Sorry I forgot convey about OS,
i.e. (HPUX 11.00.02)
"
UXCoreMedia B.11.00.02 HP-UX Media Kit (Reference Only. See Description)
QPK1100 B.11.00.51.01 Quality Pack for HP-UX 11.00 (December 2000)
XSWGR1100 B.11.00.47.08 General Release Patches, November 1999 (ACE)
XSWHWCR1100 B.11.00.53.8 HP-UX Hardware Enablement and Critical Patches, June 2001
"
One more thing, I found "crash dump" on the system and attaching "panic analysis report" herewith.

Thanks & Regds,
Rajesh

Hi ,

Do you use Veritas SF5.0 or any other earlier version of Veritas. I hope this is an issue with Veritas and not with HPUX.Check for the veritas patches and Diskquota.enh pathches.
