Red Hat 7.1 on an n3370

I am pretty much a newbie to linux and i am having one hell of a time trying to get X to work properly. No matter what i keeop getting settings of 200 x 300. My comp has a trident cyberblade i7 and beyond that I am clueless on what to do to fix this problem.

yes, i have tried that many times, bnut it still won't work.

I had the exact problems with my n3370. I did get X up with the FBDev driver but only in 800x600. After a great deal of searching I finaly got the XFree86.4.1.0 (older versions should wokr as well) server running in 1024x768 mode. Here is my XF86Config file, also add/Change the VGA to VGA=791 in lilo.conf file and run lilo as root. The only problems I am having with linux on my n3370 is a segmentation falult when trying to mount /cdrom. I can give you any other info I have if you would like.

One more thing, I just looked at the XFConfig file I included and it is specific to XFree86.4.1.0 (i think). For the video the important lines are the Modeline, HorizSync, and VertRefresh found in the Monitor section, the Device section, and the Screen section. You may want to consider upgrading to XFree86.4.1.0 if you have not already, it made things easyer for me.
