Red Hat EL 2.1 on BL 10e or BL20p blades
Any and all RH Linux pros,
We're looking into running Oracle database and 9iAS on Proliant blade servers w/ Red Hat Linux (EL 2.1), as an alternative to HP-UX or Windows. Unix is preferred for stability and security, but HP9000 (PA-RISC) servers are expensive. Is anyone running RH EL 2.1 on Proliant, particularly blades? If so, any insight you can offer would be appreciated. Also, anyone know if RH EL 3 has any proven features worth waiting for?

Re: Red Hat EL 2.1 on BL 10e or BL20p blades
We're running RHEL 2.1 on DL360/380 G3 - it works!
BTW, RHEL3 is already here, I suggest to start with this version.
Regards,
Vitaly

RH 3.0 isn't yet supported on Proliants, but it is expected to be in the next month or so. If you go for version 3 of Redhat, keep this in mind (probably worth the wait!)
