Please I need help...
I'm attempting to install the RHEL 4 in my rx1600 but I don't get success...
How to install the RHEL 4 in my itanium rx1600???

I cannot install the Red Hat Enterprise...I would know how to install step by step.
I used the Cd HP Smart Setup, I execute all steps and in the end showing a message that ask to put the RHEL CD and reboot the server. When i reboot the server, nothing happens...and the installation wizard don't appear.

where did you get the rhel cd's and is disc 1 bootable?

Shalom,

There are two 64 bit releases for RH. 1 is for Intel non-itanium, one is for Itanium ia64.

I suspect you have the wrong media.

Check Red Hat's site and get the right media. You may need to update the firmware on the rx1600 system to get it to accept Linux.
