Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 1

I have RedHat Enterprise Linux v 4.0 and I have Red Hat Network Update Module Service 1 year.
How can I install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 1 - only go to upgrade process and do full update? Please give me some advice ho I can do that because I need update 1 to oracle instalation.

Hi

Do u have the update iso's? If yes just start the install it will detect the older version and ask for upgrade and that is what you need to select.

My problem that I don't have CD ..iso. How I can without CD iso update my RHEL4 to Update 1?

I asked in diffrent how I can update to Update 1 (minimal) - from here I can get that iso?

Hi

You can get the iso from the redhat site itself. same place from where u got the redhat as 4.0 .

Ok but i don't find where i can give that iso files. You can give me link when I can get that iso update.

https://rhn.redhat.com/network/software/download_isos.pxt

Enter your redhat username/password and you should get a list of available versions to download (requires subscription I believe to be associated to channels).

Note warning on top of page after login about Internet Explorer having troubles with downloads - this may explain my recent problems with trying to get a RHEL5 beta down.

Shalom,

Options:
1) Use up2date to update the installation via the RH network to RH 4.4

2) Boot off the RH 4.4 disk of your choice and perform an upgrade.

3) Set up a yum repository and so a yum upgrade.
