I have RedHat Enterprise Linux v 4.0 and I have Red Hat Network Update Module Service 1 year.
How can I install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 1 - only go to upgrade process and do full update? Please give me some advice ho I can do that because I need update 1 to oracle instalation.

Hi

Do u have the update iso's? If yes just start the install it will detect the older version and ask for upgrade and that is what you need to select.

Gday,

https://rhn.redhat.com/network/software/download_isos.pxt

Enter your redhat username/password and you should get a list of available versions to download (requires subscription I believe to be associated to channels).

Note warning on top of page after login about Internet Explorer having troubles with downloads - this may explain my recent problems with trying to get a RHEL5 beta down.

Re: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 1

Shalom,

Options:
1) Use up2date to update the installation via the RH network to RH 4.4

2) Boot off the RH 4.4 disk of your choice and perform an upgrade.

3) Set up a yum repository and so a yum upgrade.

Re: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 1

I have a one question when I have CD from www.redhat.com - I must only second time install the system from that CD's.
Second question: installation from the CD's is the same like instalation from network when I use up2date?
