Re: Redhat 9 install problem on LC3 Netserver
If the GUI goofs detecting video or monitor capabilities your symptoms are common.
You should be able to configure the X-Windows interface after installation.
You will need to know your monitor and video capabilities and not set the system to exceed these. Just because the hardware worked with windows does not mean it will work with Red Hat.
Microsoft has more money to test with.
Can you tell me who builds the LC3 server. I'm not a hardware maven.

From memory it's using a video based on the Cirrus Logic chipset (can't remember the model number).
I'd suggest using the Text installer as well however, and try configuring X at a later time.

Re: Redhat 9 install problem on LC3 Netserver
Either way, take a look at the 2-4th VTY's, and see what it says (use ALT-F2, F3, F4). These show some debugging information from anaconda. It might give you some more helpful details there.
Could you also tell us what you've got in this LC3 box?
from memory, they come standard with a 10/100Mbit network (intel pro100), and that's about it!
