Regarding hp-vtd message
Hello,
I would like to know regarding following messages:
Jul 27 10:36:45 xow01 hp-vtd: hp-vtd failed to start
Jul 27 10:36:45 xow01 lsb_start_daemon: hp-vtd startup failed
Jul 27 10:36:45 xow01 lsb_log_message: failed
[QUESTION]
- What does the message mean ?
- Can we ignore those message ? or any trouble?
- What shall we do to stop the message ?

what version of redhat/kernel you have? is that you see in messages?
Did u check for any possible related startup script?anything on /var/log/boot.log?
is the messages keep on coming?is that started recently?

Thank you for response and I am sorry for lack of information.
The environment is following:
RHEL ES 4 update5 , PSP 7.70, HP ProLiant DL380G5
The massage appeared at /var/log/messages when the server start up.

# chkconfig hp-vt off
# service hp-vt stop

- Software not configured to work yet?
HP Virus Throttle for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4:

- Test Setup on above Software in another Testing Machine
