Regarding xtab file limit for NFS exports
Hello,
I would like to know the limit of xtab file entry.
[ENVIRONMENT]
RHEL 3
[SITUATION]
I know that IP address is registered at /var/log/nfs/xtab if we execute exportfs command.
If we register unit of network segment, many IP address is registered in it.
[QUESTION]
- Is there any limitation for NFS export at xtab ? For example, 256, so on.
We would like to perform export with NFS for several network segment.
Thank you for advice.
Best Regards.
/Minoru.

Re: Regarding xtab file limit for NFS exports
There is no such limit as i know. But i have not done the export to more than 256 clients in a practical scenario.

Engaged with similar & complex NFS Setup before, use Samba if possible
Thanks
