SAP disk assignment
how can i configure a temporary disks to my SAP database? for example: i have 6X18Gb disks. i'll add these to my current config and eventually pull-out after a month. is there a way where i will be able to remove it without restoring the whole SAP database if i'm using INFORMIX.

Re: SAP disk assignment
Hi,
What OS/Database versions??
I'm an Informix user. (Mainly Oracle). You can add them as SAP swap or backup i.e. backup to disk then to tape it takes less time.
You also can mount them to your system and copy your database there...

Re: SAP disk assignment
Do you want to allocate temporary dbspace or just regular dbspace and once you done with your work want to release those disks. In any case you can be able to do without any problem. If it is regular dbspace, after removing take level-0 backup and restore it.
If you need commands then just provide us the Informix Database Version.
Thanks
Zafar
