Re: SSH for HP-UX 11.00
It's hard to see from where I'm sitting.
Perhaps you could look?

Apparently, you need to install OpenSSL
before you can install OpenSSH.

Re: SSH for HP-UX 11.00
Including the versions for HP-UX 10.20, which should be useable for 11.00 with PA7xxx CPU
The 11.00 builds are 32bit builds for PA-RISC2.0, so they won't run on your system.

Re: SSH for HP-UX 11.00
Would you be willing to try
http://www.cmve.net/~mbrand/openssl-0.9.8k+openssh-5.2p1-11.00-pa1.sd.bz
It is built with +DAportable, so should run on your PA7xxx
Please do not forget to assign points :)

Re: SSH for HP-UX 11.00
I hope I did it right though, because I used a different intermediate folder in order not to conflict with the build system itself, which is still a production box.
And HP-UX is sooooooo much easier and faster to do than those AIX machines! We hates those we hates those.
BTW, that distro also includes a libz-1.2.3.sl (and a symlink to it) as I didn't have a PA-1.1 version handy.

Re: SSH for HP-UX 11.00
Thanks for the reply.
I downloaded/unzipped your package and tried but got this:
awagshp 10 [/tmp/hp_ssh] #swinstall -s ./openssl-0.9.8k+openssh-5.2p1-11.00-pa1.sd openssh

"./openssl-0.9.8k+openssh-5.2p1-11.00-pa1.s:/var/spool/sw".

target (default location is
./openssl-0.9.8k+openssh-5.2p1-11.00-pa1.s:/var/adm/sw/swagentd.log).
* Selection had errors.
======= 04/21/09 10:20:58 EST END swinstall SESSION (non-interactive)
awagshp 11 [/tmp/hp_ssh] #
Output from /var/adm/sw/swagentd.log:

Not sure what I did wrong, can you help further?
Thanks a lot.

Re: SSH for HP-UX 11.00
You need an absolute path:
swinstall -s $PWD/openssl-0.9.8k+openssh-5.2p1-11.00-pa1.sd openssh

Thanks for reply.
Here is my installation after I used full path:

--------------------------------------------
It seemed that the installation & execution was OK at this stage ( great leap ) except the installation log file was a problem, hopefully this is not a problem at all.
When I tried to use a SSH client to access the host I got "Connection Refused" error.
Please indicate what next I should do to make SSH work.
Thanks a lot.
