Sabayon Linux on ProLiant DL360 G4
Sabayon Linux on ProLiant DL360 G4
I'm curious as to how to get Sabayon Linux 3.4 installed on this machine. I have StartSmart CDs but they only let me pick Windows as an OS. I'm not sure why installing an OS on this server needs to be so complicated but any info you can provide would be helpful.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I should clarify what happens when I try to install it: The installation goes fine. When it goes to reboot for the first time, it just hangs when it gets to the point where it loads the OS. Sabayon never starts.

Probably you need to disable a kernel feature at boot time, like noapic, noapm or something like that.
