Sendmail As SMTP relay server

Could some on help in how to configuring the sendmail as SMTP gateway (relay )server .I'll be appreciate for you nice response

What version of sendmail are you using,

Check this link from sendmail.org for relaying on sendmail 8.9 or later.

vi /etc/mail/access

Explicitly list every server you wish to allow to relay by ip address.

form:

ip_address RELAY

example:

192.168.0.40 RELAY


If the server is exposed to the Internet be very careful. Also make sure if its running an httpd server all mailform scripts are secure.


Once done, build the macro databases and pusth the daemon with this script:
