Serial port emulator on HP UX

Hi,
I have a headless Sparc LX machine which I want to connect to via the serial port. For reasons beyond the scope of this message I am not able to use hyperterminal and would like to connect via an HP-UX workstation. I've never done this before and any help would be appreciated.

You can use a crossover cable (aka, a printer cable or null-modem cable) then run cu or kermit on the appropriate device file.
