ServiceGuard License Costs?

I need an indicative price of an MC/SG license. Does anyone know what HP's list price is? IS it priced per CPU or tiered?

It's a tiered price - the bigger the box - the more $$$.

It runs a few around $2000 per cpu.

It also comes in the Enterprise OE and the Mission Critical OE.

Hey Duncan, I've bought it separate before to match up a system that had Mission Critical OS (thence having Service Guard), to another that didn't have the same level OS. So, it's possible, but it was years back, and I don't remember what it cost. I remember thinking it wasn't thaaat expensive, but it wasn't cheap either. :-)

Yes, you can get it seperately, what I meant was it *doesn't* come with the Enterprise Operating Environment.

John - I think Steven means it does not come with the Enterprise OE, rather than it not being available as a separate product.

I have the enterprise OE on these boxes, so I may ask HP which way to go, ie:

1. Buy SG as a separate install
2. upgrade to the MCOE.

Anyway, I had put in an estimated cost (out of the blue) of £20k for 16cpus, so I shouldn't get into too much trouble for being off with my budget estimates!
