Shared Memory

Running HP/UX 11.0 on a N4000 with 4 gigs of memeory and 4 gig of swap.

I am getting an error upon trying to open sam:
"fatal error: unable to load library /usr/obam/lib/libIDMawrt.1: not enough space"

any ideas on what this may be if not shared memory?

Thanks in advanced.

Re: Shared Memory

Hi:

Sounds like you may not have enough swapspace. Check your utilization with"

# swapinfo -ta

Re: Shared Memory

Hi Adam (again):

Also, make sure that the kernel parameter 'swapmem_on' set to '1' [the default, but check it]. You can see your setting with 'sysdef' in 10.x or with 'kmtune' in 11.x. Turning this on allows you to overallocate system memory by 75% more than the physical memory present. This is "pseudo-swap".
