Shut Down Problem with Netservers (Lpr , LH3 , LH3R)

We have several HP Netservers here running Windows 2000, and all have the same problem, when shutting down, they shut down all the proccess, etc, however the unit itself will not power off and requires someone to physically push the button to shut it down. Is there a bios update or a windows fix for this?

Hi Bob,

do you have the Product "Prassi CD Right PLUS! version 1.5" installed in your System ?

Bob,

Does the problem only occur when you are shutting down the systems through terminal services? I had this same problem when using terminal services. I think it was a power management issue that was supposed to be taken care of in SP1.

If the server is at a remote location, a temporary workaround would be to use a toptools remote control card or hook up the integrated remote assistant to a modem or console to power the server off and on again. You can hook up the remote assistant to a secure web console or central web console if you have either of these.
