Single Authentication system

Hi,

If you are running a Heterogeneous network
what is the best mechanism to facilitate a single Authentication system.

We are running Window(AD)/UNIX/AIX.
and have different logins for each system which is a admin headache.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a solution I would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Single Authentication system

Sorry for the delay.

I was interupted for an hour mid post.

Best bet:
LDAP

With LDAP and a single Active Directory Windows PDC(w/backup PDC) you can have that server authenticate almost all logins.

That will leave you with single login for a regular user for the entire network.

The only users this does not apply to is administrative users like root.
