Slackware 7.1 and HP Netserver 5/133 LC

I am installing slackware 7.1 on an old HP server formerly running Netware. I am installing from a bootable cd and will scratch the whole drive when I get going (just linux, no other systems running).

The system has an adaptec aic 770 scsi adapter. I am not all that familiar with the NetServer hardware, I have only installed Linux on desktop PCs before.

The machine boots fine as a netware server.

Booting from the install cd I get into trouble at the scsi install level. I get the following message. Any clues what this means to me and how to correct it?

Re: Slackware 7.1 and HP Netserver 5/133 LC

I think you have to change scsi ID of scsi adapter and disks: see the handbook of your netserver and see what scsi id is necessary for linux or nt or unix. It should be not equal to scsi id for netware.
