Slackware Linux 10 Boot up problem for D530 SFF

I was wondering if there is an alternate kernel to use in booting up Slackware with the current HD controller.

Here is what i do:

--I insert the cd
--Bootloader comes up with options for types of kernel
--I have tried using UDMA (or bare.i)
--I also tried using SATA

There are no errors reported when the machine boots up, as if the HD controller is not present.

The current WinXP/Win2k Partitions boot fine

Any Suggestions?

Hi,

can you put dmesg output. I think that D530 should work fine with slackware.
