Some problems I could use some help on.....

first prob I've been having on my 712/60, running HPUX-11.0:

CDE has a problem starting, after I type my username/passwd, it just sits at the copyright screen, or says: "Warning: Cannot convert string ":ALT CtrlInsert" to type VirtualBinding"

the next prob, is that when I try to ftp some files to the server, it connects jsut fine, but never finishes the first file I try to send, it just sits at 100%...

CDE problem ......

is root affected ? Has this ever worked .... if yes what changed ? Are you sure hostname resolution is working correctly ?

Do you have a /usr/lib/X11/XKeysymDB ?

What's in $HOME/.dt/startlog ?

Try mv $HOME/.dt -> .dt_orig then attempt to login ?

contents of /var/dt/Xerrors ?

run dr_dt and correct warnings/errors .
