Strange 'hplog -v' output

[root@server ~]# hplog -v
hplog: Invalid error code returned.
hplog: The IML Log is empty.
[root@server ~]# rpm -q hpasm
hpasm-7.8.0-88.rhel4

Going into 'hpimlview' and clearing the log did not clear this error.

Anybody know the cause of this, and how to resolve it?

Re: Strange 'hplog -v' output

Well, it could be a firmware issue. The Array is running an older firmware revision. Will try get my data center guys to update it when they relocate it next month.

A restart of the 'hpasm' service (and waiting about 5 minutes) fixed the issue for the shrot term, but this is the 2nd time it's happened.
