Strange mail.log messages
Anyone ever seen this before, it is causing mail.log to fill /var vary quickly.

Hello,
Probably sendmail connections in SYN_RCVD state (waiting
on a SYN_ACK)..... Eventually, they timeout.
You should check if all the SYN_RCVD are from outside the network (remote connections) going through a firewall/router or something else.
I know of one case where it resolved temporarly by restarting the daemon.
