Subsitute for teaming
I know that teaming isn't supported under linux, but is there a way it can be emulated by the OS ??

If you are using a compaq NCX7XX series network card, you can use the BASP program which will team the nics. It can be downloaded from http://www.compaq.com/support/files/server/us/download/13668.html . If you have any other network cards, you can use third party software like nicexpress available for download at the end of this page http://www.falconstor.com/softwarecomponents.htm
