Shall I install Support Plus / Qualtity Pack every quater. Who often shall I install new patches (only when needed, or periodical)

It depends what You want.

In my practice I install new patches to live system only if it need for me. But the new system I install with a last patch bundlle.

Hi Bettina,

We usually install the patch bundles as soon as they are released.

One thing to keep in mind is to check the "match_target" option to make sure swinstall only installs what's needed.

My suggestion is, not to install patches, if you do not have problems, unless if they are classified as critical and causing data loss or panic in your environment.

Some time installting the patches create more problem other than the problem it solve.
