Re: Sybase 12.5 client for HP UX
As far as I know, you need to contact sybase for their client. I don't know what Oracle has for a client. But sybase has a big directory where $SYBASE/$SYBASE_OCS/bin/isql is located.
I know people connect to it with other applications by the hostname:port# combination.
I know perl has interface modules. But those modules want to know where that isql program is.
So I would just contact sybase. Who knows? Maybe they have a free 2-user application that you can install on hpux.

Re: Sybase 12.5 client for HP UX
Have you ever thought of assigning points to answers people provide you?
It does a couple of things:
1. Other people (with the same problem) can see how well the advice went based on the points you assign.
2. If you don't assign points, people won't bother to answer you because they don't know if you care to get an answer.
Based on your point assignment, you don't care. If you click on your own name you will see you only assigned points to 3 out of 30 answers.
Was my answer any good? did it stink? You can assign 0 pts. At least it shows you read your own question.
