Fairly simple. Tell your DBA to increase the size of the shared memory area. You'll need a lot of RAM, perhaps 4 to 10 GB. Naturally, your DBA will need to assign the various Sybase areas in a way to minimze disk and cache as much as possible.

Of course, you can make any database use a lot of CPU with badly designed SQL procedures.
