System Log Cookbook
I am sure this exists, but I have not been succesful in finding it online, maybe I'm using the wrong wording in my search?
What I am looking for are ideas for inclusion in server system logbooks (paper or web driven) for both HPUX and Windoze systems.
Things like disk config, software revision, network config, etc.
any and all suggestion will be appreciated, links to templates are even better.

Re: System Log Cookbook
I'd start with a contact list of all the prime players (sysadmins, netadmins, vendor service, etc.).
In addition to "Things like disk config, software revision, network config, etc.", add hardware config (make and model) and firmware revisions. Connected to a NAS or SAN? Backup hardware and software? Document those as well.
Note: While I am an HPE Employee, all of my comments (whether noted or not), are my own and are not any official representation of the company
