System recovery not "Restore"

If i choose to perform a system
recovery from the desktop on a
windows xp home edition oem
machine with no recovery discs
will i be bombarded with a bunch
of command prompts and access denied errors on system volume files or will it be pretty simplistic like the click it and go on the system restore?thanks and any help or direction is greatly appreciated

hi john.
this is beacause the recovery partition is damage,or some files of this partition are corrupt
if you safe files in the partition the sometimes this happen
you need a recovery cd's set
to reinstall the 2 partitions
