Re: TRU64 Support
on the Tru64 main Web page:
http://h30097.www3.hp.com/index.html
The Roadmap suggests that the end of 2012 is
the end of normal support.

Re: TRU64 Support
The last two versions (V5.1B-5 and V5.1B-6) are the only versions for which Engineering support, i.e. new bug fixes, is still available. This support will be generally available until 31 Dec 2012, as shown on the roadmap. The box labeled "2013 CES EES" indicates that it will be possible to purchase Custom Engineering Support or Extended Engineering Support contracts to continue Engineering support through at least 2013.
The arrow in the upper right shows "MPS without Engineering support" beginning in Jan 2013. This indicates that Mature Product Support will be available after that time; that is, remedial and advisory support will still be available but with no Engineering support (i.e., as is the case now with older versions). At present, no end date has been announced for this level of support.
Hope this helps,
Martin

Salient details, in case that link fails:
- Tru64 UNIX V5.1B-6 will be the last version to be released.
- HP will continue to provide full support for Tru64 UNIX through December 31, 2012.
- Thereafter, HP will provide Mature Product Support (MPS) without new code changes or version updates.
fwiw,
Hein
