Tape Unit DDS compatible with major number of class' servers

Hi,

I want to know what DDS its compatible with the major number of class' servers (KXX,LXXX,NXXX, RPXX, AXXX, etc..). And what types of cables I would need (scsi- scsi; scsi-scsi2,etc...)
Thanks very much!
Carmen.

Re: Tape Unit DDS compatible with major number of class' servers

What type of DDS drive is it? Is it an external or internal drive? Whats the model? Look on the back of the device and see if it is a single ended or differential device (SE or DF).

If it's an HP device it will be compatible with any of the above server type assuming they have the the needed SCSI HBA. THe type of cable will vary based on what type of connector is on the back of the device and what type of connector is on the servers SCSI card.

Need more information...

Hi,

I would like to buy an external DDS-3, maybe a C1537A?. And I would like to use it to more than one server, to do make_recoverys....
