The Anti-Virus or Anti-Malware test file

Hi

I've tried to download a test zip file from:

http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm

but my McAfee Enterprise 8.7i doesn't start a virus alarm.

BTW All scan options are enabled.

I'm running the same software as you and it nailed all 8 downloads from the eicar.org website.

If you launch the VirusScan Console, does it show four enabled tasks? If you click on Help/About..., does it indicate a very recent "DAT created on" date?

All tasks are enabled and I have the newest DAT update.

This problem is solved now.

Scan inside archives (e.g. .ZIP) wasn't enabled by the default installation.
