To increase the size of my linux filesystem

Is it possible to increase the filesystem size in Linux? I mean something like extendfs command in HP-UX.

Hi,

resize2fs in e2fsprogs rpm is same as extendfs in HP-UX.


As you know, you must extend partition before you extend the filesystem.

I recommend you to create the backup before you manipulate the partition.

especially as you can't change the partition size on the fly (no on line JFS !)

man resize2fs has some good warnings.
