Does not even recognize that a dvd is in drive

example if you are trying to read dvd in just CD drive, it can't.

Am able to play a standard DVD. However, I have an instructional DVD which its properties say it is a UDF file. It will play in my desktop but not the laptop. It does not even register in the laptop. Shows no disc inserted.

with the same driver version. i am able to play the UDF file.
is it detecting in the BIOS level; I am not able to check my BIOS setup now; I am currently formatting 1TB disk ; probably i can update u tomorrow.
