Dear Gurus ,
I was able to add the USB Ext 1TB toshiba and create LVM structures on the same ,on HP UX v3 March 2010.When i was done ,i did normal lvremove and vgremove and de-attched my USB 1TB.
Now , when i attach the same USB to any windows machine , XP SP2 and Windows 7 , it will not not show up as another partation as previously it used to.There is no "tick of death" sound in the toshiba external hdd.Though , in windows down tray bar , it shows up under "Safely Remove Hardware".
Any such previous experiences , on using the USB normally after it has been pvcreate on V3.How to get back my 1Tb disk as noraml paration to windows , as it used to be previously .
Is that why it's "unsupported" . Have i lost my disk ?
Regards,

SolutionI suspect that windows just does not recognize the partitions anymore. You'll have to create new ones and allow windows to put its signature down.
On the windows box RUN ... compmgmt.msc
Under Storage, select Disk Management.
in the bottom right hand, see if it shows.
When you find it you can bring it back to life on the dark side.
