USB Key Hang on DL385

Hi,

I am trying to install RedHat AS 4 X64 on DL385 server.

I am doing CD-ROM installation. Kickstart configuration on on USB Key.

I connect USB Key and Insert CD-ROM and trying to install but its hanging

"Attempting Boot from CD-ROM"

However, When I take USB key out I do get to installation menu of Redhat but then again not very helpful since kickstart configs are on USB Key.

P.S. I tried all the USB ports on the server and I have second server having the same issue.
Thanks

Re: USB Key Hang on DL385

Hello Raheel,

1.Disable USB legacy support in the BIOS
2.Ensure USB is not first boot device in the boot order of the BIOS
3.If the above does'nt work, update the System ROM by booting off the firmware cd(incase BIOS is not latest)

Re: USB Key Hang on DL385

Thanks, Its working now.

I only had to go to BIOS F9 > System Options > USB Control> Disable Legacy USB
