Unable to halt packages when using Oracle scripts

When I attempt to a halt a package in my MC/ServiceGuard
environment, my Oracle script begins to loop from a failure,
and I am unable to halt the package.

The following is an extract from my control.sh.log:

---- start of control.sh.log ----
Oracle abort done!
*** ora_smon_FITFUA process has stopped! ***
*** ora_pmon_FITFUA process has stopped! ***
*** ora_lgwr_FITFUA process has stopped! ***

How can I correct this problem?

Re: Unable to halt packages when using Oracle scripts

hi,

this is a very known problem in service guard
that occurs because the halt
command function has two variables that can get out of
sync if one or more of the processes has died or hung
at the time time that the database is being shut down.

u required MC/ServiceGuard Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit (B5139BA)

it contains startup and halt scripts for the server.

here is sample script attached for oracle
