Unable to load HP-UX 11i V1

I have just aqquired a couple of HP C8000 workstations ex lease.
Iwant to install HP-UX 11iV1 December 2004.
The installation starts, then I get a message along the lines of CRC check filed on STI ROM , I don't get to read much of anything else befor ethe machine resets.
It has a single ,blank 73GB SCSI hdd, 2GB Ram, using a generic KB, mouse and a Dell 17inch LCD monitor.

Any suggestions from anyone? what other info is required?

I'm not sure, but this release date may be a bit too old and doesn't support this CPU.

I would disconnect keyboard, mouse and monitor, connect a serial cable to COM1 and use a PC (with putty) as a console for installation. In this case you can capture and read the messages during the install.

boots fine from the console, and I loaded HPUX 11.2 June 2005 successfully, butthe issues still occurs when trying to use the LCD/KB/Mouse.
I found a person having the same problem in china.
They have posted a photo of the complete error message.

Forgot to mention, the screen shot is attached to my previous post, and here is the URL, there is no resolution yet.

I will look at the suggestions at this URL on Monday when I am back at work, where I have the machines at the moment.

Your first post says 11.11, your second 11.23.

No surprise, 11.23 doesn't support these workstations. IIRC the support of the graphics portion was removed (VGA on AGP).

I think I tried initially with both versions, and got the same error when going to install.
Which version do you reccomend then to install on theses machines?

Since only 11.11 is supported, the last one of that line.
There is a: Jun '09 (11.11 Support Plus)

Ok, I assume I download that version from HP and I will need to have a support contract? in which case I will have to see if I can get it through work

This is a patch you can download, so it probably won't work to install.
