Upgrading a production environment in a Blade environment
We are planning how to update our production software environment that runs on blades. Upgrading the software and OS is complex and will take some time.
Our production environment runs on 3 blades
We have another 3 blades available which we currently use for testing
To avoid production downtime, is the following possible?
1) Switch the production software to the other 3 blades. Users would only notice a decrease in performance since the other 3 blades are of a lower specification.
2) When we have upgraded, switch back to the production blades.
Upgrading production environments is a common problem. Can HPs blade technology make this easier by enabling the above process?

Re: Upgrading a production environment in a Blade environment
Hi @pcharsle so What sort of update that you're trying to perform here ?
HP Blade firmware update using HP SPP or the actual Operating System on the Blade ?
