Re: Upgrading from 10.20 to 11

Hi,

Pls do a fresh installation of 11.0 rather then upgrading 10.20.

You fill face lots of problems and there will be lot of bugs.

take a full backup and then do a fresh installation.

Re: Upgrading from 10.20 to 11

Hello,

As mentioned, a cold install is the preferred method. Be sure you know how your current environment is setup, networking, printers, third party software, LVM configurations...etc.
LVM partitions that almost always need more space when moving from HP-UX 10.20 - 11.00 are / and /stand, the only way to extend these logical volumes is with Ignite/UX. With that in mind, if you are familiar with your current environment and confident that you can get all configurations back with little to no trouble, then a cold install is definitely the method for you, considering you can resize all logical volumes during the cold install.
