Upgrading from Sept 2008 to Sept 2009

We want to upgrade our rx8640 systems from Sept 2008 to Sept 2009. Is it safe to do a direct upgrade or do you have to do the March 2009 upgrade first?

You can step directly from update-3 to update-5.
