Upgreade Oracle from 8.0.5 ->8.1.7

Hello guys:
there is SAP/R3, big Oracle data base ~1.8TB in MC/SG 2 node cluster, after upgreade from oracle 8.0.5 to 8.1.7 respoonse time for SAP/R3 user is almost 2 times more. Anybody of You had such upgreade and can show important thing for 8.1.7 (parameters in iniSID.ora) which have to be change after such upgreade. Maybe You have some idea where to look in.

regards seba

Surely you would be better asking this of SAP/Oracle?
They know these applications far better, and have a recommended patch list etc.

Re: Upgreade Oracle from 8.0.5 ->8.1.7

fact: Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition 8.1
symptom: Slow down off application after upgrade
//*
cause: Application has been tuned for old version of RDBMS. New optimizer
of new RDBMS generates different execution plans.

fix:

Set value of old RDBMS version in init.ora parameter OPTIMIZER_FEATURE_ENABLE.

E.g. If there was upgrade from RDBMS 8.0.5 to RDBMS 8.1.7. then
set OPTIMIZER_FEATURE_ENABLE=8.0.5
