VC++.WinNT NTFS, Access denied message

Hi,

On Win NT(NTFS), when we change the Folder
Permission to "No access", then no one is able
to access this folder and we get a message
Access denied for this folder through
WinNT Explorer.

Is there a way one can get the same Acceess denied on a folder through the C++/VC++program?
If yes, please let me know the system call/MTC function which can be used.
