VNC Networking
I am trying to set up VNC networking using an SSH client. Is there a depot program for 10.20 available?

Re: VNC Networking
I found this info in DocId: KBRC00009493
A supported build of SSH for HP-UX 10.20 is not available from HP. However, a build of OpenSSH is available for 10.20 from any of the HP-UX porting archive mirror sights (i.e., http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/).
TightVNC provides source-code of VNC available at http://www.tightvnc.com/.

Re: VNC Networking
Andrew,
I'm not aware of any available depots but you can get info on vnc for HPUX here http://www.csun.edu/~swalton/VNC/
The instructions imply that the binaries were built on 10.20 so you should be OK. I'm running 11i and it works fine.
As for networking using an SSH client, I presume that you mean tunnelling the vnc traffic over an SSH connection. If this is the case then this is easy to do provided you have an SSH server/client setup that supports port forwarding.
All you should have to do is start the vnc server on your HPUX box and make a note of the display number (or start it with a specific display number).
On your client, start ssh and tell it to forward port 5900 + display number to the same port on the server, then start the vncviewer and specify localhost: as the VNC server.
HTH,
Michael.

The nice thing about computers is that they do exactly what you tell them. The problem with computers is that they do EXACTLY what you tell them.
