Veritas Netbackup
I am going to purchase the Veritas Netbackup on Solaris Box,pleas clarify
1.Diff btw solstics and veritas.
2.Email Notification is there on veritas netbackup.(Backup failure or sucess).
3.SunStorEdge l280 will support Veritas Netbackup.
4.Advantage of Veritas Netbackup..
I will appreciate pls give me the answer

I remember that Veritas has good support site, I sometimes was on it. Have you tried to ask these questions there since Netbackup is not an HP product?
No absolutely problem to post that here....just a better way to get answers :-)

I do know you can configure Veritas Netbackup to send you email notifications if a back up was successful or not and the failures will list an error code for you tor research.
I don't know of any sun servers that came out lately that does not support Veritas products in some fashion since the two companies are pretty much embedded together.
Most companies that have a large Sun infrastructure typically use Veritas Netbackup as their backup solution and I had no problems supporting it when I use to work on sun equipment. Its very easy to navigate through and understand. If you have any knowledge of Veritas Backup Exec for Windows then you should have no problems going to Netbackup for Unix.
