Veritas Storage Foundation for Oracle (formerly Database Edition w/ QuickIO) - Anyone Using?

And what are your experiences? How does it compare with RAW storage performance?

It appears that the promised AysnchIO on Filesystems with HP-UX 11.3X may possibly be similar to what's been available with the Veritas offering. And who knows, it may actually be yet again a Veritas OEM'd technology like VxVM and OJFS/VxFS. I originally thought this promised technology is based on the technology acquired from the purchase of Tru64 (AdvFS?)...

Despite glaring performance advantages of going RAW, we are still facing some resistance and skepticism from our DBA groups going raw.. They just are not comfy with the fact that they cannot "see" their datafiles!!

Any info, experience and insight will be appreciated.

Thank you!
Hakuna Matata.

Anyone?

This product was early on also called as "Veritas Database Edition for Oracle".
