Video problems with RedHat Linux 5.1 (monitor sync ranges, graphics card)
I've gotten xwindows running, but at really weird resolutions. The first stretching for miles off the screen, and the second dwarfing to a 400x600 or some such absurdity (which I do believe was achieved by disabling virtual desktop). I have a voodoo3, and a Dell M780 monitor. I'm not sure on the sync ranges, and am curious as to how to discover them. I've been unable to find any documentaion on my monitor. As far as my video card, I've always selected 'unlisted card'. I've not once been able to get xwindows running on svga, only vga =(. Any ideas as to what I should try? Or should I just upgrade to a newer version of redhat?

Here you have the refresh rates for the voodoo3 2000/3000:

And i'm attaching also the manual for the Dell M780 monitor.
I hope this helps.
