Vmunix error in Syslog!!!

Hi all,

In the syslog of a HP K-Class server the following error message is reflected.
vmunix: spt_send_reply_msg: unexpected msg, 134

Anybody pls help.

Hi,

Looks like a problem with your spt (SCSI pass thru driver). Suggest you have a look in 'stm' to see if any errors can be picked up using your tape robotics. This is what the message seems to be interpreting.

Just to add to Michaels answer. The fact that the line starts with 'vmunix:' means that the kernel has detected the problem. As opposed to another program like 'rpcbind:' or 'inetd[888]:'.
